La Planta de Café — Line Extension and Visual Consistency
In 2019 we redesigned the identity and packaging system of La Planta de Café, the brand Cabrales chose to group all its roasted coffees, leveraging the strong historical recognition achieved with its iconic Dorado. The challenge was to organize and modernize without losing the essence of a brand deeply rooted in Argentine consumers’ memory.
Building on that solid foundation, we now guided Cabrales through a new step: expanding La Planta de Café into the instant coffee universe. The work focused on transferring the graphic architecture defined in 2019 —the power of the yellow/gold, the distinctive red block, the cup icon and the fluid brand typography— into a new family of products that introduces contemporary flavors and consumption moments.
The key was to preserve visual continuity with the original Dorado, reinforcing the brand’s heritage while making the instant line feel like a natural evolution of Cabrales’ story. At the same time, we created shelf appeal with flavor cues and a warm, appetizing, modern language.
The result is a range of new packs —cappuccino, latte, moka and special variants like salted caramel— that expand the brand’s presence without diluting its DNA. A true exercise in evolution, showing how a well-designed identity can keep growing with consistency and relevance over time.
